In 1977, NASA launched space probes Voyagers 1 and 2 to photograph the solar system.
Each probe includes a gold-plated copper phonograph record, containing voices, music, and analog-encoded images representing our species.
This is an attempt to re-create what an alien species would see and hear if they were to find and decode the record.
